I am a Christian

When I say that 'I am a Christian'
I am not shouting that I am clean living
I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven'

When I say 'I am a Christian'
I don't speak of this with pride
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide

When I say 'I am a Christian'
I'm not trying to be strong
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on

When I say 'I am a Christian'
I'm not bragging of success
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess

When I say 'I am a Christian'
I'm not claiming to be perfect
My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I'm worth it

When I say 'I am a Christian'
I still feel the sting of pain
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name

When I say 'I am a Christian'
I'm not holier than thou
I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

the greatest 'tis love

Let he who has two give to him who has none,
For of all His commandments, the greatest is love.
Let us share all things common as each man has need
And let the free give the nations of Jesus' good seed.
Whether rich man or poor man, white man or black,
Let us share our gift freely with all who may lack.
Give drink to the thirsty let the hungry be filled,
And let those who have followed be the ones who have led.

Through our love, they can see that He lives
The love we receive is the love we can give.
Through our love they can see that He lives
And Jesus has risen, hallelujah He lives!

And when the fields yield full harvest it's easy to share.
And when you're ensured this world's friendship it's easy to care.
But when every nation has crumbled to dust,
Will you still reach to give the Lord's mercy or will you kill if you must?
So you see I'm convinced that this song that we sing should be free
And I do so believe we must follow to the Calvary tree.
For of all His commandment found under the sun,
The one written deep in my soul, still says...
The greatest is love.

Through our love, they can see that He lives
The love we receive is the love we can give
Through our love they can see that He lives
And Jesus has risen, hallelujah He lives!

And Jesus has risen, hallelujah He lives!!

And Jesus has risen, hallelujah He lives!!!
